Baler - The best surfing destination and a historical place in the Philippines

Image
Does a wave of exhilaration run through your nerves when you hear the word 'surfing'? Also a nature lover and an enthusiast of history? This time, I am going to elaborate my experience during my recent visit to Baler in the Philippines. Baler is the place which fits perfectly into the above criteria of surfing, nature lover and history. Known as the best surfing destination in the Philippines, it is the capital of the Aurora province and a 6 hour bus journey from Manila.  Our relocation to the Philippines has been a year and it becomes obvious for exploring the new country by some planned visits to its adjoining provinces/towns. Puerto Galera, being our first trip in November 2019, it happened to be a prolonged gap of three months. In order to bridge the gap, Baler entered our travel list in February 2020. Mumbai in the eyes of a newcomer- A metamorphosis from fear to love

' Mumbai' pops up when most of the Indians think of, 'The city of dreams'. For me, it was not. And indeed, it was fact that we maintained our culture and tradition with high esteem. We have never allowed anyone or any situation to eliminate our rich culture. So, being a part of a highly conservative society, I had never thought of going to Mumbai, the financial capital of India until someday I received a call for my promotion in job. The intensity of the news was so high that it created a bi-headed impact. 1. Extreme happiness for getting promoted from pharmaceutical sales to mar

A desire was held within me for a long time to be amidst the aquatic life under the dark blue sea. In fact, dreams frequently visited me since my adolescence to have a macro view of the wonderland under the sea.I could not make it possible in my home country but had the determination to transform my dream into reality in some foreign country. 'All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.' The above line is so true. Wondering how? Here comes the answer. It was on January 25, 2020, that a sudden plan was crafted (with lots of brain storming and suggestions) to visit the Ocean Park, the marine paradise in Metro Manila, Philippines. The place has plenty of positive reviews thereby pushing us further to pay a visit.  Location of Ocean Park- Quirino Grandstand, 666 Behind, Ermita, Manila, 1000  Metro Manila From Makati to Ocean Park- It took around 20-25 minutes to reach the destination and we reached at around 04.30 i
