Boracay island 2021 in the Philippines- Step by step guide to reach Boracay from Manila during the pandemic

Image
It was quite sunny on October 10, 2020 and needless to mention, the pandemic was ruling the world at its peak. Finally, after a long halt, a moderate level of travelling has begun. Being a travel blogger, travelling becomes mandatory but this pandemic has left me with no options other than reading a plethora of travel blogs, especially related to Philippines (my present location). Extensive reading and research have eventually lead to shortlisting few must-visit islands like  Puerto Galera  (already visited) , Palawan, Siargao island, Boracay, Coron and Bohol. Basically,  P hilippines is an archipelago with 7,641 islands out of which only 2000 are inhabited. Living in a country which is a proud owner of the most charming beaches in the world, it becomes our responsibility to visit them and carry memories in abundance. So, without a second thought, our first trip (during the pandemic) to Boracay island was finalized for January 15, 2021. Station 2 White Beach| Image source-Self Abo

Traveling from Manila to India via Emirates? Travel guidelines- January 2021

Image
International traveling is no more a pleasure especially when covid-19 has casted an inauspicious shadow on the planet. Gone are the days when traveling was exhilarating, now it is a painstaking phenomenon. The word 'guidelines' plays a major role when it comes to taking international trips. Apart from our luggage, a file or folder containing all our vital documents has forcefully gained an entry into international trips. Now, coming straight to the point, in order to avoid any loopholes in our documentation we had prepared ourselves well ahead of our journey from Manila (The Philippines) to Mumbai (India) on Jan 30, 2021.  The documentation phase : As a spontaneous response to the dilemma in our minds for the above travel, we got our tickets booked on Emirates  (the only option available was via Dubai) for Jan 30, 2021. With the confirmed tickets in hand, a full-fledged process started for the arrangement of the documents listed below - Emigration Clearance Certificate (ECC) :

Boracay Island in the Philippines - Travel Guidelines 2021

Image
Wohoo! 2021 started well with the visit to a paradise with the finest white sand beach and a place of solace.  It is Boracay island in the Aklan province in the Philippines.   Living in the pandemic phase, there existed no plan as such but an intuition to visit the second most charming destination in the Philippines. Hence, moving forward with the hope that our intuition will be a reality in the new year, our air tickets and hotel room were booked for January 2021. Although our thoughts were heavily weighted with fear of the entrance of the new strain of coronavirus in the Philippines, we did not let it diminish our excitement. Incoming international flights from 15 countries were banned by the government initially, followed by 30 in the later period.  Domestic travel- No bar. A great relief. Time is precious and irreversible. A year had gone for a toss dealing with the waves of emotional stress on account of the pandemic. The world waited impatiently for the much needed vaccine that w

Why is the Indian city, Kolkata, popularly addressed as 'The City Of Joy'?

Indeed, a very long time has passed since a travel blog was added to my list.  Well, the reason behind the lag is obvious. Yes, you guessed it right..The Grand Arrival of Novel Coronavirus from Wuhan which brought a total halt in our physical movement outside our abode but not our cherished memories. Friends, have you ever thought that humans possess the power to travel back and delve into the echoes of their adorable times? In spite of my current location in The Philippines which has the best beaches and bays in the world, I am not being able to share my experiences on new destinations due to travel restrictions. Baler and Puerto Galera are few of the beaches explored by me. Links are given below: Baler-The Best Surfing Destination and a Place of Historical Interest in The Philippines Puerto Galera- A Tropical beach destination for scuba diving and snorkeling in The Philippines This post will dive deep into my best collection of my home city, Kolkata (formerly called Calcutta) where I

Baler - The best surfing destination and a historical place in the Philippines

Does a wave of exhilaration run through your nerves when you hear the word 'surfing'? Also a nature lover and an enthusiast of history? This time, I am going to elaborate my experience during my recent visit to Baler in the Philippines. Baler is the place which fits perfectly into the above criteria of surfing, nature lover and history. Known as the best surfing destination in the Philippines, it is the capital of the Aurora province and a 6 hour bus journey from Manila.  Our relocation to the Philippines has been a year and it becomes obvious for exploring the new country by some planned visits to its adjoining provinces/towns. Puerto Galera, being our first trip in November 2019, it happened to be a prolonged gap of three months. In order to bridge the gap, Baler entered our travel list in February 2020.
